Vegan wines
Most wines are not vegan. Wineries use gelatin, chitosan, casein or egg white in wine clarification. Clarification should remove impurities and dispersed fine particles from the wine, including thermally unstable proteins, so that the bottled wine has sparkle and maintains stability. At the same time, clarifiers can also be plant-based or mineral-based, and many winemakers go against this trend and create 100% vegan wines.
